How do I sign up?

Does Calgary Singles Network plan any of their own events?
No, we are completely independent from our organizers, and have no affiliation with any of the event or activity organizers.  We just search for interesting events for our subscribers to attend.

What kind of events do you list?
We support and post a variety of events from casual pub nights, coffee nights and dinner clubs to an assortment of special events organized by our fabulous professional event organizers.  There are drop in sporting activities, such as walking groups, baseball, and volleyball.  Your can have your choice of dances!   The dances are hosted by various organizers and located throughout the Calgary area.  There are special events, musical events, speed dating, and match making services.  We also support rural singles groups from Airdrie, High River, Okotoks and Strathmore.  All events are for singles only.

How long has the Calgary singles Network been around?
The original email was sent out to a small group of singles, listing social events, in 1999.  There have been a few steps in the evolution, from that original email to a weekly newsletter, to this the official website of Calgary Singles Network.

Do I have to be over 40?
Yes, we only post information about events that are for singles over 40. The average age of the attendees at most events is between 45 and 55.

I don’t know anyone.  How can I go alone?
We suggest letting the organizer know that this is your first time attending a specific singles function. At each of the events there is some form of registration desk, etc., and I am sure they will be more than happy to show you around.

How often is the newsletter sent out?
Weekly – every Tuesday.
